Banten Provincial Government will make Anyer lighthouse as a tourist icon in the area of Anyer, Carita, as a special attraction to foreign and domestic tourists visiting the area. According Egy, around the lighthouse will also be packed with displays of art typical of Banten on holidays or special days, such as games or attractions angklung Debus.

The present lighthouse building was established in 1885 during King William III, as recorded in an inscription found above the entrance tower.
